Grocery shopping and meal planning can go one of two ways (at least for me). 

A fun process

or utter chaos, and frustrations.

I did not include pantry staples like flour, butter, salt, or spices on the list, as it's likely you already have and forgot about, or only use on occassion because what meals ask for nutritional yeast?

Some of the ingredients used for one meal will be overlapped in the other - getting all the use from the item you purchase meaning no waste and probably some leftovers, too.

Basil Pesto Lemon Orzo with Grilled Chicken with grape tomatoes

Grocery List (spices and staples are under the "optional" list


- 1 - 2 pounds chicken breast ($6)


- 1 head broccoli

- 1 large sweet potato

- 2 russet potatoes

- 1 italian squash / zucchini

- microgreens

- grape tomatoes

- spinach


- Cashew Cream Dressing (Trader Joe's)

- Mozorella

Canned / Dry Goods

- coconut milk (full fat)

- red kidney beans

- marinated artichokes (12 oz)

- 1/2 cup raw unsalted cashews



- 12 oz ginger beer

If you don't have these in your pantry:

- all purpose flour, sub with GF flour if needed

- brown rice

- Nutritional Yeast

-basil pesto sauce

- instant yeast

- Salted Butter

- Spices
